Mack Daddy Construction again

• since only oneperson in my third hour got this right, I am reassigning this construction. Remember, 3 of your 4 centers will be collinear. Your job is to tellme which one is NOT collinear with the other three.

#3.8 The Centroid

Aim: to use knowledge of the centroid to solve problems

• (1-11) omit 7-9

Find the Center of Gravity Activity (due Friday, Sept. 21, 2007):

• Use a sheet of cardboard paper or cardstock
• draw a medium-large scalene triangle
• construct the centroid of the triangle
• cut out your triangle after you locate the centroid
• poke a tiny hole through the centroid
• pull a piece of string or yarn through the hole
• pull the string taut
• your triangle should hang parallel to the floor
